We've figured out how to get the truth out of Daniel - not that he's really trying to lie to us. He's just grumpy sometimes. When Daniel hasn't had enough sleep, he tends to say "no" to everything you ask him. David will ask him, "Did you play with your toys today?" Daniel will say, "NO, I DID NOT PLAY WITH MY TOYS TODAY!" Etc., etc.
We recently stumbled upon a truth serum though. And our new game goes something like this:
David: Did you play with your toys today?
Daniel: NO, I DID NOT PLAY WITH MY TOYS TODAY!
David: Raise your hand if you played with your toys today.
And Daniel's hand shoots into the air!
It works almost every time! Apparently he hasn't figured out how to control his arm yet and it must tell the truth at all times. I hope he keeps that up as a teenager. It could come in handy!
